What You’ll Learn
This 3-hour workshop will cover an introduction to a variety of techniques for large throwing. Each of these techniques will take much more practice and a lot of trial and even more error. But within the workshop you’ll have a solid introduction to these techniques.
Demonstration (First Hour):
Demos of spiral wedging, centering, paddling, joining of separate pieces, coiling on thrown pieces and throwing of wide platters
Hands-On Practice (Last 2 Hours):
Choose one technique to focus on with the instructor’s supervision and guidance.
Who This Workshop Is For
This workshop is best suited for advanced-level potters with prior wheel-throwing experience. If you’re unsure whether this class is right for you, please contact Adam or your instructor for advice.
Important Notes
Finished pieces are not included.
If you’d like to keep one selected piece, a firing/material fee of $40 per bag of clay (per pound)
