Adult Classes
At Clay Space, our adult classes cover hand building, wheel throwing, sculpture, and glazing. Beginners follow a structured path to build strong fundamentals, while advanced students enjoy more freedom to pursue self-directed projects—whether that’s functional pieces, sculptures, or design exploration.
- Weekly 3-hour classes
- Sessions run for 8 weeks (shorter when interrupted by public holidays)
- Open to all skill levels—from beginners to advanced
- Class prices include all materials and firing service
Our approach balances structure with flexibility. You’ll learn key techniques through guided projects, but ultimately we encourage you to make what you’re most excited about.
Kids Classes
Our kids classes nurture creativity while teaching practical clay skills. Children explore hand building techniques, gain confidence through guided projects, and even try the wheel as a special activity.
- Weekly 2-hour classes
- Sessions run 5–6 weeks (depending on the calendar)
- Focus on hand building, with introductory wheel work at the end of each session
Working with clay builds visual-motor skills, creativity, and critical thinking. Beyond making art, kids also learn responsibility—cleaning up after themselves and respecting their work and the shared studio space.

We have a limited number of Open Studio memberships spots which are available right now. If you have pottery experience, can work independently and are interested in becoming a member please contact us.
Unfortunately we do not anymore. When the studio opened it was in the middle of a lockdown and we did rent out our kilns. Now our studio is too busy and cannot handle outside work.
the studio is wheel chair accessible and has a ground floor bathroom. We strive to make the studio completely accessible and are constantly making adjust menus to accommodate customers of all abilities.
We love all colors at Clay Space 🙂
